Merry Christmas, Everyone
Posted December 25 2008 by Scott under Edit: Here ya go. It's rather large, so be weary and resize to meet your needs. I was going to do a pic with, you know, a fireplace, and unwrapping presents, and all that jazz, but that's fairly stereotypical, isn't it? They don't have a chimney. Wanted to something a bit more familiar, and down to earth. Something more of us can relate to. A nice warm scene of bundling up together, enjoying each other's company. Took me longer than I wanted because a) christmas is always busy b) christmas evening I got attacked by allergies, c) I am terrible with perspective. That said, I really like how this turned out. It actually looks like they live in a house for once. Within the next few updates I'll be picking things up. Not sure when that update will be, but it'll be in the next few. I will see you all Monday. Merry Christmas, all. Christmas day as of writing this, and while I'm sure a lot of you won't read this until days after it's been written, I'm sure there's still those of you that managed to find the time to actually visit today, and then went as far as to scroll down and read my bits of text. I'll be finding some time today or the next few days, I hope, to get you a nice christmas desktop up, and then I'm going to work on getting updates back up in full force for January. That's the plan. As patient as you've all been, I certainly hope I can deliver. I wish you all a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and any other holiday you might be celebrating in December. Please celebrate it safely, and cherish the time you spend with those you love. Peace out.
Posted December 19 2008 by Scott under All my proceeds from Splitreason sales this month go to charity. Buy an awesome shirt and give to a good cause. Waaayyyyyyyy too long to get this one done. Still. I'm really happy about how it turned out. Sylvia's gotta be my favorite character to draw at the moment, and she really shines in a few panels in this one. Ain't she a cutie? It probably should be snowing, which isn't something I thought about until after the comic was drawn. It doesn't snow in Florida, you see. It's T-shirt weather right now, so snow isn't something I typically think of first hand. Even though it's obviously snowing in the previous strip. Something I want to address that's probably been on people's minds as of late: the lack of updates. It's just been one thing after another been plagueing my mind. I won't bore you with dumb details as it's nothing serious. Just enough to mess with me writing updates. Come January? These sporatic updates should cease, and maybe, just maybe, we'll pick up the triweekly update schedule from yesteryear, or at least get closer to that point again. I'll go into more about that when the time comes. Banjo Kazooie! Anyone played it? I got around to the demo. Do not care for it. Which saddens me. The demo itself is just filled to the brim with love. The music, the environments, the graphics, just everything. The gameplay, however, I feel is lacking. It's basically Kingdom Hearts gummi ships with missions. Building gummi ships in kingdom hearts, to me, was an obstacle that just kept me away from the actual gameplay. Banjo not only does that, but I found that doing the things I was supposed to do in a car were easier when I hopped out and started whacking enemies with the wrench they gave me. I applaud you, rare, and some applaud a lot harder than I do and actually like the game, but this isn't the Banjo I wanted. Release Tooie on the marketplace and I support your company so you can make a sequel. Peace out.
